Due to the relaxing of Public Health regulations related to the
pandemic most of our programs are back along with new
activities. The fitness programs have moved to the Community
Centre and some continue jointly on Zoom.
We no longer operate the Fitness Trailer at the Villas and
thank the Lions Society for the use of it for many
years.
Our current focus is to work with the Youth/Seniors Community
Centre to increase activities that appeal to newly retired and
active members.
As a registered
charity we are able to issue tax receipts for donations
which are currently enabling us to provide additional programs and
outings. In accordance with Canada Revenue Agency we are
required to clearly communicate the following:
Donors can
indicate their program preference for how a charity
will apply their donation, but ultimate authority
on the use of resources must rest with the charity. If the
charity does not use the donation the way the donors prefer, the
charity will not return the donation to the donors.
Pemberton Men's
Shed:
PVMS
is a fellowshIp of men originally created within the Pemberton
Valley Seniors Society. Now a stand alone society whose
members meet regularly at the Youth/Seniors Rec Centre they create
a social space for men as well as take on initiatives that can be
shared with the people of Pemberton. More recently they have
converted a double wide trailer into a workshop as well. For
