This update includes news of the Youth/Senior Centre facility refurbishing, program reports and information. July activities include: a Yard Sale in support of the Squamish Hospice early in the month and a picnic in Pioneer Park on Wednesday, July 25. The newly refurbished Youth/Seniors Centre is now open and the improvements are amazing - new furniture and flooring, simplified TV and music system, change of room usage and a smaller billiard table, all have made for better and more enjoyable use of the space. Thank you Sarah and Angela for making this happen. We have also been watching the upgrades to the older Villas units as there will be improvements to the Common Room which has been completely cleared of furnishings and books etc. to make a fresh start. - Our first use of the room will be to hold a Yard Sale - currently scheduled for Saturday, July 7 provided the renovations have been completed. ... read more
