50 Plus Activities Club

Pemberton Valley Seniors Society welcomes members 50 and over and congratulates the Pemberton Men's Shed / Tool Library on formation of their own society.

We offer a variety of social activities, exercise programs, arts and crafts groups with guidance for beginners, card games and opportunities to meet and make friends with other retirees in the area.  Our focus this year is to increase activities that appeal to newly retired and active members.

September Update

Pickle Ball has started and by all accounts it is fun and very popular. Additions to Calendar include Bridge on Friday mornings at The Rec. The Yard Sale date changed to Saturday, September 29 - 10:00 - 2:00. The painting group are participating in the Teeny Tiny Art Show in Whistler this month. Fall Programs for 50+ Club

50+ Club Lunches, Drop Ins and Pickle Ball are starting up again.
Fridays from 10-12:00 Pickle Ball at the Community Centre will be followed by Drop In social gatherings at The Rec, Seniors/Youth Centre - bring a brown bag lunch.
Sept. Calendar includes a $15 lunch special at the Black Squirrel on September 10 @ 11:30. Fitness at the Exercise Trailer starts up - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. - drop in Fee $5.00. Community events coming up include a fund raiser at the Museum on Sept. 8.... read more

Mid Year Update

This update includes news of the Youth/Senior Centre facility refurbishing, program reports and information. July activities include: a Yard Sale in support of the Squamish Hospice early in the month and a picnic in Pioneer Park on Wednesday, July 25. The newly refurbished Youth/Seniors Centre is now open and the improvements are amazing - new furniture and flooring, simplified TV and music system, change of room usage and a smaller billiard table, all have made for better and more enjoyable use of the space. Thank you Sarah and Angela for making this happen. We have also been watching the upgrades to the older Villas units as there will be improvements to the Common Room which has been completely cleared of furnishings and books etc. to make a fresh start. - Our first use of the room will be to hold a Yard Sale - currently scheduled for Saturday, July 7 provided the renovations have been completed.... read more
