What's Happening in December

Saturday, December 1st Pemberton Lions host a Christmas Dinner at the Legion - 65 + RSVP Fran Cuthbert.
Friday, December 14th - Christmas Lunch hosted by PVS in Room D at the Community Centre. 11:30 - 2:00 MAXIMUM 40 - wait list only - contact Christine. Catering by Betty Mercer.
Regular weekly activities are expected to continue until week before Christmas unless otherwise announced.

The Rec Refurbishment

Friday, October 5 - noon start
Sara wants to remind everyone about the Art Wall project happening in the REC this Friday. It is an inter generational project that gives both the 50 + and youth a chance to claim a section of the wall and make it their own. "Read More" for details.

Fall Update

Thanks to all the members who donated goods to the Yard Sale. It was a great success; special thanks to those who stepped up over the weekend to work at setting up and selling. Many hands contributed to the sorting and pricing on Saturday and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny Sunday for our sale. Over $1100 were raised in support of the Hospice Foundation for four new beds to be set up at Hill Top in Squamish . They will serve the Sea to Sky corridor.

September Update

Pickle Ball has started and by all accounts it is fun and very popular. Additions to Calendar include Bridge on Friday mornings at The Rec. The Yard Sale date changed to Saturday, September 29 - 10:00 - 2:00. The painting group are participating in the Teeny Tiny Art Show in Whistler this month. Fall Programs for 50+ Club

50+ Club Lunches, Drop Ins and Pickle Ball are starting up again.
Fridays from 10-12:00 Pickle Ball at the Community Centre will be followed by Drop In social gatherings at The Rec, Seniors/Youth Centre - bring a brown bag lunch.
Sept. Calendar includes a $15 lunch special at the Black Squirrel on September 10 @ 11:30. Fitness at the Exercise Trailer starts up - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. - drop in Fee $5.00. Community events coming up include a fund raiser at the Museum on Sept. 8. ... read more
