Visit to Whistler Seniors - Friday, November 16

A large contingent of members signed up resulting in 29 enjoying lunch at the new Drop In Centre.  We met Melissa who is coordinating activities for the Whistler Seniors as well as a few of their members.  With accommodations somewhat limited there were fewer than we had hoped to meet.  We hope they will be joining us for a lunch in Pemberton next month.   Melissa told us how the centre was organized and some of the activities planned, including a volunteer driver program they have in place to assist Whistler residents needing rides to medical appointments in the city.  The lunch of fruit and sandwiches was enjoyed as well as the opportunity to see where they are located, high on the hillside in the Spring Creek subdivision.
