Looking Ahead in 2019

Feb.  6    - CPR First Aid training, Preregistration required, no fee
Feb.  8    - Falls Workshop and Soup 'n Sandwich Lunch at The REC

March 18     - 29 Spring Break
April 19          - Good Friday

A regular drop in brown bag lunch in the Rec is on the calendar every Friday at noon, following Pickle Ball.  The Choir will be meeting on the first and third Fridays from 1-3 at the Rec. New members will be welcomed.  Speakers/Programs/Activities will be sought for the alternate Fridays.

Fitness resumes on Thursday, Jan. 10 and Saturday Gentle Yoga program continues.   The painting and cards groups are scheduled on their regular weekly days.  The Community Centre will have a number of 55+ activities including a carpet bowling session on Thursday, January 17  time to be advised. as well there are Thursday matinee movies planned at the Rec.  On Monday Jan. 21st the Library hosts Tech Time for seniors from 10-11 a.m. and the Seniors Co-ordinator has arranged for a Diners Club Brunch at The Station Restaurant at 10:30 a.m.  The meal will be a breakfast style buffet including eggs and bacon for $12 (tax and gratuity included). In the works for February we have a  CPR training first aid session on Wednesday, February 6; registration at the Com. Centre required to ensure sufficient materials are available.  On Friday, February 8, there will be a presentation on 'Falls and How to Avoid them' following a drop in soup 'n sandwich lunch. 

Later when the weather improves there will be a presentation from Squamish Road Safety and Community Driving Examiner explaining how the seniors testing has changed.

Sometime in March we will be holding an annual meeting at which members will chose their new Board and have an opportunity to suggest actives they would like to help get started, continue, or participate in.
