This set of 3 workshops are open to all 50+ community
members.
$42 when purchasing all three at the same time or $16 per session.

Beeswax wraps and Tawashi Sponges
Wednesday February 19th
3-5pm in the Studio
Registration required by 4pm Friday February 14th
Make a concrete gesture toward environmental conservation and
learn how to make your own reusable Beeswax Wraps and Tawashi.
Beeswax Wraps are a natural alternative to plastic wrap for food
storage. They're washable, freezable and reusable. Tawashi are
sponges of ecological, economical Japanese origin and will replace
your conventional sponge. They are made of recycled materials and
can be used for household cleaning and dishes.
Note: Please bring a selection of scrap material, socks or
clothing to be used for the Tawashi.
Needle Felting
Wednesday March 4th
3-6pm in the Studio
Registration required by 4pm Monday February 24th
This class is an introduction to needle felting and will
demonstrate simple sculpting techniques which are easy to practice
at home. You will work on your own felted miniatures which can be
crafted into ornaments, sculptures, toys, garlands or
mobiles.
Natural Products - Toothpaste, Lip Balm and Hand Cream
Wednesday March 18th
3-5pm in the Kitchen
Registration required by 4pm Monday March 9th
During the workshop, you will learn how to make three 100% natural
everyday products with ingredients that can be easily found.
Eliminate disposable containers and questionable compositions from
your daily life and make your own natural toothpaste, lip balm and
hand cream.
Note: Please bring 3 small containers/jars to bring your products
home in.
