Marion's Celebration of Life is going to be on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00 in the church on the hill followed by a time of fellowship and reminiscing at the Legion. Yes, Dave is doing the service and of course, you can bring goodies.

PEMBERTON COMMUNITY CENTRE AND THE REC CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Learn the practice of Meditation at The REC on Tuesday March 10th and 17th at 2pm. This $4 drop in program is open to all 50+ community members and aims to increase physical relaxation. Meditation is a wonderful way to improve your mental and physical health through stress reduction, in addition to improving memory, sense of self, and empathy. $4 Drop-in fee can be payed on the day at the front-desk.

Tuesday, March 10 Frauds and Scams 11:30 - 1:30 p.m.

Presented by Seniors First BC, this live-streamed workshop will focus on common scams targeting older adults, offers strategies to protect themselves, check for counterfeit bank notes, deal with financial abuse and go over resources such as the National Do-Not-Call List. Join us at 11:30am on March 10th for lunch, tea and coffee followed by this educational live-streamed presentation. No registration required.

You are invited to join the Whistler 50+ group to enjoy (and participate in) a 1950's fashion show . Wear or bring along your 50's fashions. A delicous buffet of desserts and tea/coffee ($15) will follow this is a fundraiser for Alzheimers Society.
Contact: Erika Durlacher. $15 for tea and dessert buffet.. dress in 1950's wear, or bring along old styles you enjoyed wearing. Fund raiser for Alzheimers Society.
Saturday March 28 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Needle Felting workshop. Com. Centre This class is an introduction to needle felting and will demonstrate simple sculpting techniques which are easy to practice at home. You will work on your own felted miniatures which can be crafted into ornaments, sculptures, toys, garlands or mobiles. Held on Saturday March 28th from 1:30pm - 4:30pm in the Community Centre. Registration required by 4pm Friday March 20th
Tuesday, March 31 1-3 p.m. The Rec - singalong movie - The Rec
Join us The REC on Tuesday March 31st at 12pm in watching the Sound of Music. Lyrics will be displayed on the screen so that you can singalong. No registration required.
